The Bleyer Boogie Woogie shoes are light and stylish lace-up swing dance practice shoes. With their retro look, and various colour and finish options, you are sure to dazzle fellow dancers. The soles have been specially made to enhance your movement across the dance floor.  

Colours and Finishes Available

The Bleyer Boogie Woogie is available in black & white or red & white (also known as Ruby Slippers) as standard. You can choose either soft matt leather or shiny synthetic patent finish. The synthetic patent options are not made from animal products which makes them a popular vegan choice.

How The Shoes Fit

The Bleyer Boogie Woogie is available as standard in Bleyer size 35 to 50 (covering UK 2 to 13). Bleyer shoes are marked with European sizes and they tend to fit approximately one size small compared to typical European sizes. So, for example if you normally wear a European 38 you would probably want a Bleyer 39.

The Bleyer Boogie Woogie is popular with ladies and gentleman alike. These shoes are produced on a Unisex last and fit the same as other Bleyer models including the Rock’n’Rolls, Lindy Lace and Saddles, most people find these shoes a comfortable fit. Men with particularly wide feet might prefer to try shoes produced on the Mens last, such as the Bleyer Charleston or Bleyer Balboa.  

As we are a UK based site, UK sizes are listed first in our drop-down options. We have used our experience to translate the Bleyer sizes to UK sizes. This means that there are half sizes in some, but not all, UK sizes. This is simply as a result of the translations, so if your feet are a half size that is not listed, we would normally suggest that you select the next half size up. If you’re still not sure which size to select please call or email for advice. About The Uppers

The Bleyer Boogie Woogie is a lace-up shoe. The uppers on the matt finish shoes are soft leather, whilst the patent uppers are synthetic. There is integrated heel-padding, but Bleyer recommend purchasing the Bleyer Insole (code 4423) with these shoes to soften the impact on your joints whilst dancing.

About The Soles & The Heels

The Bleyer Boogie Woogies  have a single flat sole to help you stay closer to the ground and feel the floor whilst dancing. From Bleyer 34-47, the sole is the PU-Sole with a spin spot, whilst the sizes 48-50 are fitted with Poro-sole. Both have remained popular with jive and swing dancers for many years, which make these is ideal practice shoe. Both soles types are non-staining and have enough movement to help you slide, swivel and glide easily across the floor. It will give you more sure-footed confidence than leather or suede, which makes it great for aerials.
